Sustainable development of the island of Vis

Pomalo Association is a non-profit civil society organization based on the island of Vis, Croatia. Based on intercultural dialogue, Pomalo Association advocates for sustainable development, promotion and protection of cultural values, protection of the natural environment, social tolerance and a multicultural society.

Relying on local natural and social resources, as well as the resources of its members, Pomalo Association contributes to the sustainable development of the local community of the island of Vis through:

  • workshops, seminars, and schools for the local residents, with special emphasis on children and youth
  • cultural and artistic events for the local residents and visitors to the island of Vis
  • coordination of economic and social entities on the island of Vis in accordance with the goals of the association
