WHO WE ARE
Association Pomalo was founded on January 1, 2018 in Komiža. The association is composed of islanders, citizens of Komiža and Vis and other settlements on the island of Vis, and tourists, i.e. longtime visitors and friends of the island of Vis.
OUR MISSION
Based on intercultural dialogue, Pomalo Association is a non-profit civil society organization that advocates for sustainable development, promotion and protection of cultural heritage, protection of the natural environment, social tolerance and a multicultural society.


OUR AIM
The aim of the association is to apply the technologies and practices of sustainable development and to build a free, open, democratic, pluralistic and tolerant society based on the values of peace, non-violence, human rights, internationalism, dialogue and social justice.
OUR ACTIVITIES
The Pomalo Association operates in the following areas:
- sustainable development and the promotion of fisheries, agriculture, and tourism
- protection and preservation of the environment and nature
- protection and preservation of cultural heritage
- promotion of culture, arts, education and lifelong learning
- international developmental cooperation in related areas
